27-30 July 2005, Budweiser
Shanghai International Football Tournament 2005 took place
in Shanghai Stadium. Three Spanish Premera Division clubs
Villarreal, Sevilla, Real Zaragoza and Shanghai United - the
local all-star team selected by fans online participated the
event. Sevilla defeated Villarreal 2:0 in the final and took
the Budweiser Cup home. As the mega annual event USSM
organizes, aside with SMG and SFA, the organization
determined to bring tradition and prestige back to SIFT and
show the world a dynamic developing Shanghai.
